I really love doing things with my hands. I love it so much that the idea of making stuff is almost my favorite part of the process. I wish I could say that I love the process of long hours of heavily focused work after I finish working at the restaurant each day, but it’s just not. So here is a list of things that I really wish I could do. It’s a list of aspirations and dreams (kind of).

I recommend that you also do this if you enjoy making things, and need a moment to fall in love with it all over again.

ALBUMS

Lucille:

I really want to write a tongue in cheek pop album about the devil. I like the idea of making stuff that upsets the type of people who sit outside of planned parenthood.

Songs for a Cat woman:

I need to write an album of love songs for my girlfriend. She’s really cool, and I feel like I could write a really fun and dark album of love songs.

Solo Record:

I have too many songs I’ve written, but haven’t gotten them release ready. I would love to do that.

Alone:

This is a short EP that I’m working on for jojo reed.

Meant to be:

This is a slightly longer EP for jojo reed, but this time its way more theatrical.

SIDE PROJECTS

Hot New Garbage:

I found out that there isn’t a band with this name yet, so I really want to call dibs out on the internet.

Elizabeth J Bean:

This is the name I want to use for producing the cat woman album.

Electronic Doodles:

I really want to learn how to produce and make electronic music. I want to be able to song write using synths, and allow myself to make songs like it’s just another part of practicing. So I want to make electronic music similar to how some artists doodle.

KNITTING

Knit a Cardigan:

It’s cold over here in the northeast, and cardigans look so sick. I really love the look of cozy irish fishermen, or farmers on their time off. I want to make one.

Start crocheting:

Crocheting seems like a great thing to do with your hands. I would love to make coasters, doilys, or even almost patches.

WRITING

Write regular blog posts:

I really enjoy writing these little blog posts. It gives me something to wake up for in the morning, and to work on while I have my pre-work coffee.

A newsletter:

I would love to be better at keeping the people in my life, and those interested in what I’m up to, better up to date. I’m bad at doing that right now, and I think making a newsletter would help with that.

A book eventually. I have no idea what about:

This is more of a bucket list item for me. I’ve always wanted to finish a book. I’m not quite sure what about. 

To be published more often:

I’ve only been published in school papers as of right now. I would love to change that.
