At the beginning of 2020, I took a call with a close friend of mine named Coda Brown-Mcmillan for a podcast episode they were recording for a media literacy class they were taking at Ithica College. In this episode, we talked about what it means to take an idea and push it into the front of a cultural zeitgeist, and the sometimes duplicitous intentions behind it.
