This was my first youtube cover. I made this video with the help of my friend at the time, where I learned to play specifically this song on the piano. It used audio from a Focusrite Spark that was hanging over the piano and myself and was recorded into a Focusrite Scarlet that was processed in Reaper.

I was obsessed with Justin Vernon’s cover of this song and couldn’t help but try it out. This was the first time I really started singing in a semi-public way and served as an introduction to planning with a videographer. I was 17 at the time of recording. I think back on making this very fondly, but with most older videos, there was much I had to learn and it should be treated as a point of beginning.
